Want more details? Ok, cool.

I am a visual artist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and I work in a variety of mediums, including 2D, 3D and digital. Recently, my work has been focused on creatures and finding ways to depict the invisible, visually. (Examples: Imagination, the feeling of reading a good book, anxiety) The most notable so far have been creatures called Mental Monsters which depict and describe different mental struggles. I am currently pursuing a double major in Art and Film at the University of Minnesota.

I have always loved making art about animals. No matter which medium, I prioritize capturing their personality above all else. I have had stereotypically “mean dogs” for most of my life and all of them were just big cinnamon rolls. I strive to show that gentleness in my photography of dog breeds often labeled as “bad dogs”, hopefully to help the stereotype fade away.

Why make work about fake places/creatures and real animals? Sometimes, animals and creatures can help people discuss heavier or hard to describe topics. I want to help people see things from a different perspective because, oftentimes, it helps them understand something in a way they didn’t consider.
